The fitting process at our bespoke tailor brand

The fittings in the tailoring process are critical for the perfect fit of the garment and usually consist of several stages. Here are the differences between tailoring proofs:

First Fitting (Case Fitting): In this stage, the basic shape and design of the garment is made, usually with a trial fabric (muslin) or low-quality fabric. Its purpose is to see the overall fit, cut and design of the garment and to make any necessary adjustments.

Second Proof (Basic Proof): At this stage, the garment is presented in a better quality fabric and the basic design features are applied. Here, final adjustments are made to fit, comfort and design details. Errors or omissions are corrected during this fitting.

Final Fitting (Final Fitting): The garment is presented in its final form, complete with the selected fabric. At this stage, the final fit, stitch quality and details of the garment are checked. The customer has the opportunity to try on the garment for the last time and final minor adjustments, if any, are made.

Corrections and Finishing: If necessary, minor corrections and improvements are made after the final fitting. This is necessary to ensure that the garment fits perfectly and is aesthetically pleasing.

These fittings allow the garment to be customized to fit personal measurements and preferences, resulting in a perfect fit and comfort.
